Metadata Management--Dolby Labs
Dolby presents an in-depth look at how the most importanat metadata parameters interact with one another other, and how they can effect the quality of an audio signal. While in past seminars, Dolby has covered metadata parameters affecting dialnorm, dynamic range control and downmixing, and how they should be set, this presentation will focus more on theory of how these parameters work, and what happens internally to the AC-3 process when they are set accurately (and when they are not!). Included will be demonstrations to illustrate these effects.

What is the role of surround in news broadcasting? How can it add to the viewer's experience? What is the role of the center channel? What tools are available for remote capture of multi-channel audio? What capabilities are required in an audio console for surround production? Our panel will address those questions and more.
