Pacifique Studios Installs Second SSL Console
Pacifique Studios, a top music recording facility in North Hollywood, has installed a second Solid State Logic SL 9000 J Series console. The original SL 9000 J Series in Pacifique’s West Room has enjoyed solid booking since opening, prompting studio owners to go with a larger SL 9000 J Series for the East Room. The new console offers 96 inputs and includes the SL959 J eight-channel monitoring system for surround mixing.
“We have worked the original 80-channel 9K for two years, and the room was in overflow demand since it opened,” says Joe Deranteriasian, studio co-owner. “The 9000 is simply the console that the top of the music industry wants to work on, so the decision to go with a second 9K was an easy one.”
