Deluxe Toronto Takes Delivery of First Euphonix System 5 Console
Euphonix, Inc. announced the installation of a dual operator System 5 high-performance mixing system to the Canadian film production house, Deluxe Toronto. This is the world’s first multi-operator feature film dubbing installation of the digital studio system since its debut at the AES convention in New York last September.

The System 5 will be featured in Theatre 6, one of four film dubbing stages at Deluxe. This multi-room facility also includes a Foley theater, and ADR theater, three episodic television mixing studios, eight digital editing suites, 30 film editing rooms, three telecine transfer suites, and a screening theater.

“In 1995, we installed our first Euphonix CS Series console in our Theatre 4,” says George Kourounis, Deluxe Toronto technical manager. “Since then, Deluxe has worked closely with Euphonix offering suggestions on building the ideal digital film mixing system. We were pleased to discover many of our ideas had been implemented in the design of the new System 5. After looking at the other digital consoles on the market, it was clear to us that only one console was flexible enough to accommodate the variety of projects that we work on.”
