Kind of Loud Technologies Announces Cooperative Development with Minnetonka
Kind of Loud Technologies has announced that it is developing a RealVerb 5.1 plug-in for Minnetonka Audio Software’s Mx51 surround sound authoring system.

Mx51 is the only fully professional PC surround authoring system on the market. With powerful surround panning, subwoofer crossover management, automation, and non-destructive editing, it is a truly comprehensive system. Currently running on the Yamaha DSP Factory, Mx51 will soon “go native,” running on any Windows-compatible soundcard, such as Layla, MOTU 2408, or CardDeluxe.

Kind of Loud’s RealVerb 5.1 is the industry’s first surround reverb. With its powerful combination of spatial and spectral modeling technology and the ability to independently control the direct path, early reflections, and late-field reverberation, RealVerb 5.1 produces astonishing audio realism.

“The folks at Minnetonka have created a powerful surround platform for the PC,” says William Putnam, co-founder of Kind of Loud. “We’re delighted to bring our RealVerb 5.1 to the Windows customer.”
