Busch Gardens’ New Ice Show Surrounds Audience with Sound
Thomas Gregor Associates has completed the audio, lighting, and show control for World Rhythms on Ice at Busch Gardens, Tampa Bay. Opened to the public on November 6, this exciting new ice-skating spectacular takes the audience on a 36-minute whirlwind tour of seven countries. The show represents a new, innovative level of family-oriented shows, where a 16-member cast combines with state-of-the-art technology to produce a truly world-class spectacle.

Thomas Gregor Associates installed a LCS digital mixing and playback audio system. “Busch Entertainment wanted to surround the audience with sound,” says audio designer Greg Kirkland. “However, they wanted a system that was simple to operate. The LCS system allowed us to place a sound effect anywhere in the theater and record the level. Complex moves were recorded and triggered by RSD’s ShowMan show control software for maximum repeatability.”
