IBT Media Group, the Kansas City-based multimedia production arm of industrial distributor IBT, recently purchased Spruce Technologies DVDStation(TM), making IBT among the first corporate DVD producers in the Midwest. IBT will use the system to author projects both for IBT and other corporate clients.
“We tend to take a conservative approach to new technology at IBT, preferring to let others work out the kinks before we invest,” says Craig Campbell, Media Manager at IBT Media Group. “Based on the proliferation of DVD in the consumer entertainment and the PC markets, however, we saw a real opportunity to get in at the beginning of something that is obviously going to be around for a while.
