DTS Promotes Patrick Watson to Vice President of Business Development
DTS announced the promotion of Patrick Watson to vice president of business development. Mr. Watson previously served as director of consumer licensing where he oversaw the phenomenal growth of DTS technology in the consumer electronics market for Home Theater.

Under Mr. Watson�s direction, the number of consumer electronics companies to license DTS decoding technology has grown to over 150 in just over four years. Every major manufacturer from Aiwa to Zenith now offers products featuring DTS. In addition, over thirty leading semi-conductor manufacturers have licensed DTS for their DSPs. Mr. Watson has also been influential in the proliferation of DTS into new markets such as 5.1 music for CD, automotive, PC, broadcast, and gaming.

Dan Slusser, CEO of DTS, states, “Patrick has had tremendous influence on the growth of DTS, particularly in the area of consumer hardware. Mr. Watson has long been associated with innovative coding technology companies. Since 1993, he has worked in a technical sales capacity for such companies as Audio Processing Technology, Ltd. (APT) and AlgoRhythmic Technology, Ltd. (ART) of Northern Ireland. Mr. Watson graduated from Queens University Belfast Northern Ireland with a MSc. In Electronics.
