Cirrus Logic Announces the New Crystal CS49300 DVD-Audio Decoder Chip
The Crystal CS49300 is a new DVD-Audio decoder chip from Cirrus Logic, Inc. that supports �universal� DVD players. The Crystal CS49300 audio is designed for newly emerging DVD players that provide audio and video playback. The decoder chip delivers high-resolution audio output at up to 192KHz and supports the Meridian Lossless Packing audio compression standard and all leading DVD movie formats. The CS49300 features 24-bit output resolution and increased on-chip memory so that all required DTS 64KB tables can be stored on-chip rather than in external memory. All-channel speaker delays for DTS, AC-3, and THX are provided by additional data memory.
