Dynaudio Acoustics Announces BM 5.1A System
Dynaudio Acoustics’ new BM5.1A Complete 5.1 Mixing System is comprised of six active Dynaudio components. “The BM5.1A is a revolutionary matched set of five powered nearfield monitors and subwoofer offering the ultimate mixing environment for multichannel audio,” commented Ed Simeone, managing director of TC Electronic, distributor of Dynaudio Acoustics’ product line in North America. “Its full range extended bass response make it the perfect system for mixing multi-channel audio, particularly for post production facilities, broadcast, commercial studios and project studios.”
The BM5.1 Complete 5.1 Mixing System consists of five matched dual 100 watt amplified BM6A nearfield monitors and one active BX30 Bass Extension System. The BM6A monitors use a 7-inch woofer with a 3-inch voice coil and a 1-inch softdome tweeter powered by two high performance discrete MOSFET amplifiers rated at 100 watts each. The BM6A features an electronic 4th order phase-aligned crossover with a crossover point at 2.2 kHz. The system�s active BX30 subwoofer Bass Extension System uses a 12-inch woofer with a 4-inch voice coil in a ported cabinet powered by a 130 watt amplifier controlled by three precision low pass networks calibrated to meet internal standards, and designed to meet Dolby, DTS and THX criteria for theaters.
